Restroom or Bathroom or..?

Restroom, Bathroom, Lavatory, WC(Water Closet), CR(Comfort Room), or Toilet. Which do you prefer?

When I was in USA, I heard restroom. On the other hand, when I was in the Philippines, I heard CR most. And, it is said that some European people use the word toilet.

I prefer toilet but most Filipinos usually say comfort room and it is only heard in our country. But my British Professor usually correct us if we use CR because he said that the correct one is toilet. I always ask him why? And he said because the original English is the one in United Kingdom because United Kingdom is the origin of English Language.

P.S. Restroom and the rest of the synonyms mentioned are correct too.
