Baby English or Mother English?
There was a student from a non-English speaking country. He came late in the class, while the teacher was discussing the lesson. Meanwhile, he asked the teacher if she could speak baby English only, not mother English. Upon hearing this, the teacher was wondering. In response, the teacher asked slowly, "What do you mean by baby English and mother English?" Trying to speak English, he replied: "Ahh, baby English means not difficult because me... very beginner student; mother English... very difficult English... not understand that... ok?" The class was then laughing not to tease him, but to the way he expressed his intention.
