I thought a thought

I thought a thought.
But the thought I thought wasn't the thought I thought I thought.
If the thought I thought I thought had been the thought I thought,
I wouldn't have thought so much.

I thought it is too complicated to understand..

Actually thought can function as a noun or verb. When you say I thought a thought it means that the first thought is the past form of the verb think and where I is the subject and thought is the verb in a past form. However, the last thought functions as a direct object of a sentence and it is a noun which is synonymous to someone's view or idea:)
